BUT WHY

He is old and allegedly sick but why I still don't feel sorry for the old m an? Because first and foremost, he was jailed for strong probable crimes (which by the way charged already), and then here he is, still never heard of his remorse and not sorry to his victims but instead we are feed with these all propagandas, lies, and political ploy from his legal team and spokesperson such as his family and allies, and they demand humanity but these acts are not humane... who am I to feel sorry?

So what if he is old if there are other older than him charged or convicted, imprisoned or detained? He is a dangerous old man so I don't buy using old age to put him on either house arrest or interim release. If being old age is the case, then we are saying here it is just fine to do wrongdoings today because soon you will be forgiven when you get old age. I don't agree too using respect as excuse to empathize him, if this is the case, then how about the disrespect to human life and due process he did? Again, he is a dangerous old man. So I found this old age reasoning abusive, tolerating, taking for granted the crimes and taking advantage the age. This is reasoning of the guilty themselves, of the enablers themselves, of the perpetrators themselves. Anyway I do not even feel he's remorse so why I sympathize the unapologetic?

But why am I still not compassionate to the alleged sick old man, having cognitive impairment, having early signs of dementia, so skinny, etcetera? Because illnesses are all allegations from notorious liars mouth, unless the confirmed and firsthand information from authorized and reliable, I will not give empathy to their dramas or else it is just a mere compassion to fakery. There are lots of contradictions going on here that conflicting with each other. The family visits reveal the conflicts whenever they give updates to their supporters that he is ok, and then echoed by their loyal allies, then all of a sudden he is sick? Not too long ago they were saying they talked about recent floods and politics, then suddenly they are saying the old man has cognitive impairment. They are now saying their tatay is unable to recall events, places, timing, or even members of his close family. Then later on someone is saying tatay talked to him asking to bring him home in Davao to eat monggo while earlier it was said the fPRRD cannot recognize even his family. Another claim said that the old man has couple of incidents he fell in his cell but his family never divulged this in their recent visits instead ensured that he is ok. jolly and healthy. Why the contradiction is too much? Them saying let the current Philippine administration to let him return home to face whatever judicial process is necessary, and also them saying fPRRD is not fit to stand trial. Them saying Du30 needs interim release, and again them saying Du30 needs to send home. So this sudden cognitive impairment is devious so why should I have humanitarian feeling to his sickness and oldness if these lies are coming again and again?

And but why are the senators adopting resolutions to place the fPRRD under house arrest citing humanitarian reason even they know it is definitely waste of time and somehow money as we paid their salary on that resolution made? My reading here is because it is just purely for the show - it is just for engagement, it is just for entertainment for their die hard supporters to agitate. Because they want to record their loyalty to Duterte family, they are making felt their stand as ally, they are positioning themselves for 2028 election to get sympathy votes. Many "becauses" but one thing is certain: this can send clear message to ICC that Duterte is indeed a flight risk and security threat because this senate resolution just proves Duterte has still power and influence in the Philippines. The die-hard supporters assemblies outside The Hague headquarter, the "didilis" unruly rallies in the Philippines, and the careless pronouncements and misinformation from Duterte families and allies are really proofs that fPRRD remains a big threat.

BEAUTIFUL INDEED

I visited Tawi-tawi and I swear I was really stunned how naturally beautiful it is like its vast, spectacular, and majestic mountains, the resembling puzzled-pieces of green rice fields stretching to the horizon, the stunning sand bar and white sand beaches echoing the waves of blue water. These are canvass-worthy of artwork but despite these accolades, there was a part of sadness in me seeing Tawi-tawi on the other view.

It was a shady and cold aftermoon when the drizzle has just ceased though no petrichor, I saw the children walking around, some of them are bare footed walking on the damp passages, they were looking at tourists like me. No words needed, they were happy to receive small amount But what really pained me was seeing the sadness of these young eyes unhappy with their situation, too young that nothing they can do but be alone and left behind. I saw some older and elders too standing within their yard, picture of waiting the night to come. Their houses are made up of patched woods at least one-foot meter above the mud, seems to be standing there for the longer time, and there are makeshifts wooden bridges going to inner houses. The sky was clear and the ambiance was quiet but the silence there makes the feeling an everyday lonesomeness whose people want to escape the scarcity.

The face of poverty is disheartening and it is saddening, the feeling of in despair is playing Though I admire the generally immaterialism way of life here but the big probability of incapacity to taste a little luxury of life is depressing starting with unkempt hair children wearing loose dresses and their parents cannot afford to dress them nicely. The adults too and look tired from hard labor and sunburned skin color. Living is finding foodstuff to live, the place is blessed with this. You will never hungry just be diligent to plant in own yard and go to lakes or rivers to fish and you will have foods to eat. But life is truly not all about these, men are not always in bread alone. Children and grown up need to leam life's skill, knowledge through education, and plans for strong future. Your matured life should be improved and better than when you were before, there is something missing in you when you passed away same poor since birth.

The day before, Tawi-tawi on my first glance was picturesque of pure haven, no edit needed. I was overwhelmed with everything is genuine: smelling every earthy scent of rich soil and plants in misty forest, feeling the tender touch of the sun on my skin, and enjoying the humble downtown, I really like their layback, slow, quiet, and natural rustic and simple life and there is no doubt about that. The next day, helpless and guilty. There is guilt in me because while when I came into this place appreciating its beauty, there are its destitute people on their own humble abode and here I am making it indulgence of coming there.

I travelled the farthest place in my country to find the people who don't need much to be happy. They have this strong patience amidst of insufficiencies not because they are contented and do not want to pursue more but they have leamed to get the most of whatever they have. Tawi-tawi is telling me be me less is more. Tawi-tawi taught me expands my empathy to humble self and fosters the humility. Sometimes travelling is not all-fun, you need to see the downside of a place to find something new and nevertheless good. And Tawi tawi on my mind will be always beautiful and humble.
